Odyssey?

Odyssey?

In the modern world, as the idea of “ultimate meaning” begins to waver and fade, we can no longer return to the past, yet cannot clearly see the future. How do we live? How should we live? Do we leave that absence unfilled? Retreat into endless nostalgia? Turn to religion? Or choose to create a way of living that works for us?

As we grow from children into young adults, we begin to look at the world anew. At some point, it ceases to be a glittering playground. We must face a fact: this world is real, ordinary, and perhaps even cruel. When its absurd truths lie exposed before us, can we acknowledge them and still choose to search anew? Though we cannot truly return to childhood, perhaps the lens can help us recover something of its unclouded curiosity.

Lean close to what is real. Be curious about the ordinary. Return cruelty with a smile.

This is what this room hopes to offer. May you find what you are looking for.
